HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our market leading client based in the Hayes area. We are looking for experienced Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join the team.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hours: Monday to Friday, start times flexible (average of 8 hour shifts)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Pay Rate: Monday to Friday - £17.35 / Saturdays £20.50 / Sundays - £20.50 per hour PAYE</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Location: Hayes, UB3.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Job Type: Temporary to permanent.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The role:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Collect clinical waste from various healthcare facilities, including care homes and hospitals.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Prepare the vehicle for daily operations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Utilise a compaction vehicle for waste disposal.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Perform local collections, wheeling bins to the back of the truck, and operating the bin pick-up mechanism.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Use a PDA for tracking and recording collections.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Depending on the volume, complete 35 to 60 collections during your shift.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Maintain physical fitness, as the role involves some heavy lifting.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Requirements</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Have at least 6 months of experience driving the relevant vehicle.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Full understanding of WTD legislation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Willingness to learn and adapt to our waste management processes.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Availability for early morning shifts and occasional weekend work.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Physical fitness and capability to handle waste containers.</p>
