Business Development Manager - Multimodal Freight

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Salary: Up to €90,000 + Excellent Commission Scheme

The Role

As Business Development Manager,

you will play a key role in developing the company's Irish customer base, identifying new commercial opportunities and delivering tailored multimodal freight solutions to businesses across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across air, sea and road freight.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, from SMEs to large multinational organisations.

Develop tailored logistics solutions to meet customers' international supply chain

requirements.

Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial meetings through to negotiation and closing.

Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations and tenders.

Develop a strong sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue and gross profit targets.

Work closely with internal operations teams to ensure a smooth customer onboarding process and excellent ongoing service.

Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop long-term strategic partnerships.

The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in business development within freight forwarding or the logistics industry.

A strong understanding of multimodal freight, ideally covering air, sea and road services.

A demonstrable track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.

Excellent networking, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Commercially minded, with a strong understanding of pricing, profitability and gross profit.

A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the confidence to develop new markets and pursue opportunities independently.
