Transport Coordinator

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a motivated and organised Transport Coordinator to join their transport operation in Tilbury.

This role would suit someone with experience in transport, logistics, warehousing or fleet administration who is ready to take the next step in their career.

You will play an important role in supporting drivers, coordinating daily activities and helping ensure transport operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for drivers, providing updates on schedules, routes and daily operational

requirements.

• Monitor driver attendance and support the day-to-day management of driver activities.
• Assist with transport planning, vehicle allocation and resource coordination.
• Respond to driver queries and help resolve operational challenges as they arise.
• Ensure delivery paperwork, proof of delivery documents and compliance records are completed accurately.
• Support driver onboarding, inductions and training when required.
• Work alongside transport planners and customer service teams to maintain efficient operations and high service standards.
• Help identify and resolve issues that could affect delivery schedules or operational performance.

About You

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet operations or a similar environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and willing to learn transport management systems.

What’s on Offer?

• Salary of £28,000–£35,000, depending on experience.

• Two shift : 05:00–15:00 /10:00–20:00.
