Van Driver

Industrial Recruitment Solutions is currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Van Driver to join our client's team based in Halesowen.

The role involves delivering small to medium-sized items to customers and businesses, ensuring all goods are handled with the very best of care and delivered safely and on time.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a good attitude towards customer service and understands the importance of protecting goods during loading, transportation and unloading.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver small to medium-sized items to customers and businesses across designated routes.

Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are protected from damage.

Secure loads safely within the vehicle before departure.

Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.

Handle fragile or delicate items with care and attention.

Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures where required.

Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.

Maintain a clean, tidy and roadworthy vehicle.

Provide a professional and friendly service to customers at delivery locations.

Follow all relevant road safety, manual handling and health and safety procedures.

Essential

Requirements

A full, valid UK driving licence.

Previous van driving or delivery experience is preferred.

Good geographical knowledge and the ability to follow routes efficiently.

A careful and responsible approach to handling goods.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Reliable, punctual and well organised.

Physically capable of carrying out loading and unloading duties where required.

A professional attitude and commitment to safe driving practices.
