Escape Recruitment is recruiting a Shipping Administrator on behalf of an established manufacturing business. This varied role combines shipping administration with practical despatch duties, helping ensure finished products are accurately prepared, documented and ready for shipment. It is a temp role with an initial 8 week contract, this could be extended for the right person.

The role

Working alongside the Shipping Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

Preparing shipping paperwork and checking shipment details for accuracy.

Preparing and packaging finished products for despatch.

Completing stock checks and maintaining control of finished goods.

Monitoring the availability of packaging and other departmental materials.

Liaising with internal departments to keep orders moving smoothly.

Providing information to support month-end reporting.

Following shipping procedures, quality standards and airline security

requirements.

Helping maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Supporting colleagues with training when required.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

Strong IT skills and confidence completing accurate administrative tasks.

A basic understanding of shipping or logistics.

Good planning and organisational skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Clear written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to use initiative, solve problems and work well within a team.

A willingness to carry out both administrative and practical packing duties.

Experience in shipping administration, logistics, transport administration or despatch would be useful.
