Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Night Shift Recycling Operatives with a valid FLT Counterbalance licence to join a recycling team at Tor Quarry.

This is a hands-on role involving outdoor work in all weather conditions, sorting recyclable materials and supporting general site operations. You must be comfortable working in a range of environments, including dusty or noisy areas, and be physically fit for the demands of the role.

What We Offer

£15.50 per hour.

Night shifts from 8pm-4am.

Sunday to Thursday working pattern.

Temporary-to-permanent opportunity.

Immediate start available.

Key Duties

Correctly sorting different recyclable materials.

Hand-picking or machine-sorting materials as required.

Loading and unloading recycling vehicles and recording waste weights.

Inspecting materials, identifying hazardous items and reporting any issues.

Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.

Requirements

Valid FLT Counterbalance licence - essential.

Physical fitness and the ability to stand for long periods.

Ability to lift heavy items.

Basic numeracy skills and the ability to follow instructions.

Good attention to detail when identifying materials and contaminants.

Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions and in dusty or noisy environments.
