Location: Remote, with Reading as your central hub and visits to customer sites

Salary: £45,000 basic per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm — 42.5 hours per week

Help commercial vehicle operators make the move to electric trucks. This opportunity combines customer consultancy, technical analysis and practical fleet support, helping businesses choose vehicles and charging solutions that work for their operations.

ISQ Recruitment is working with a well-established commercial vehicle business to recruit a Electric HGV & Fleet Solutions Consultant. With remote working and a central hub in Reading, you'll work closely with customers, sales colleagues and infrastructure specialists to support fleet electrification from initial assessment through to vehicle handover.

The Role

You'll help customers understand how electric HGVs could fit into their fleets, assessing routes, depot facilities, charging

requirements and operating costs. Alongside your consultancy work, you'll deliver vehicle demonstrations, handovers and driver training, helping operators get the best from their vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Assess fleet operations, vehicle routes and depot

requirements to identify suitable electric truck solutions.

Work with charging infrastructure providers and energy partners to review charging options and electricity supply

requirements.

Prepare clear customer proposals covering route suitability, depot assessments, total cost of ownership and implementation plans.

Support the commercial vehicle sales team with technical guidance, customer discussions and new business opportunities.

Deliver vehicle handovers and driver training for battery electric vehicles.

Help customers introduce electric and conventional truck fleets, including connected vehicle services and support packages.

Lead customer workshops, product demonstrations and presentations at industry events.

Maintain accurate project updates and contribute to the development of the business's eMobility offering. What We're Looking For

A demonstrable interest in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, sustainability and fleet electrification.

Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to turn operational data into practical recommendations.

Confident communication and presentation skills, including explaining technical information clearly.

A customer-focused approach and the ability to build relationships, influence decisions and work with external partners.

Commercial vehicle industry knowledge or experience in HGV sales would be beneficial.

A relevant qualification in automotive, engineering or business would be advantageous.

An HGV C+E licence would be an advantage. This opportunity could suit an Electric Vehicle Consultant, Fleet Consultant or Commercial Vehicle Sales professional with the technical understanding and customer skills to support operators moving towards electric HGVs.
