Location: Wolverhampton

Hours: 07:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday 12:30 finish on a Friday

Salary: £14 per hour overtime rates up to £28 per hour

We're looking for a Subcontract Operations Supervisor to join a fantastic manufacturing business experiencing continued growth, with a strong pipeline of incoming work and exciting opportunities ahead.

This is a key operational role where you'll coordinate subcontracted activities, manage supplier relationships and ensure work is completed efficiently, accurately and to agreed deadlines. You'll play an important part in keeping projects on track and ensuring subcontract operations run smoothly across multiple sites and projects.

Your Responsibilities

Coordinate subcontracted work against transfer orders and project schedules.

Monitor workloads, resources and deadlines to ensure service levels are met.

Manage operational risks and coordinate subcontractors across multiple sites.

Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the ERP system.

Source, assess and appoint subcontractors, completing due diligence checks.

Monitor subcontractor performance through KPIs and regular reviews.

Resolve quality, performance and compliance issues.

Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident managing subcontractor relationships and coordinating operational activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideally, you'll have:

Previous experience in subcontract operations, supplier management, logistics, manufacturing coordination or a similar supervisory role.

Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers or external service providers.

Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Good attention to detail, particularly when dealing with transfer orders, documentation and ERP transactions.

Experience monitoring KPIs, service levels, quality standards and deadlines.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

A practical approach to problem-solving, risk management and resolving operational issues.

The ability to work well under pressure in a busy, growing environment.

Experience using ERP systems and managing supplier performance would be an advantage.What's on Offer?

Starting pay from £14.00 per hour.

Excellent overtime opportunities, with rates up to £28.00 per hour.
