Consultant in T&O (Special interest in Hand & Wrist Surgery)

As a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant, you will provide comprehensive patient care within a collaborative department driving high-quality services. You will contribute to the development and governance of Trauma and Orthopaedic care, work with a multidisciplinary team, and support service planning and performance under the Trust’s guidelines. The role offers involvement in clinical audits, guideline development, and cross-team collaboration to improve patient outcomes. • Provide comprehensive orthopaedic care as part of the team
• Manage personal workload to meet service contract levels
• Participate in mortality and morbidity meetings
• Develop and apply clinical guidelines within the department
• Conduct and contribute to clinical audits
• Provide advice on provision, planning and development of Trauma and Orthopaedic services
• Collaborate with GP, nurses and other agencies
• Support service restoration and backlog management post-pandemic

• GMC Specialist Register entry; eligible for entry on the Specialist Register or within six months of CCT at interview
• Appropriate Fellowship Training
