Associate Renewable Energy Design Engineer

In this role you will steer FEED, IE, OE and TA assignments across the project lifecycle for solar, wind and energy storage. You will work within a growing renewable energy advisory team to deliver technically robust solutions for lenders, developers and EPCs. You will lead design teams, manage multi-project delivery and mentor junior colleagues while fostering client relationships. • Lead FEED, IE, OE and TA assignments from concept through construction, financing and acquisition
• Manage project delivery for project finance, tax equity, sales and acquisition mandates
• Review technical and commercial documents including contracts, schedules and CAPEX/OPEX models
• Conduct site visits, construction monitoring and witness testing
• Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks across multiple projects
• Produce high-quality advisory reports outlining risks and recommendations
• Support contract administration, variations and claims for clients
• Lead client and stakeholder meetings with developers, lenders, EPCs, investors and internal teams
• Head Pre-FEED and FEED design for wind, solar and BESS projects
• Oversee Owners Engineering service delivery
• Leverage existing network for Business Development support for Stantec

• Experience in renewable energy project delivery or advisory (IE/OE/TA, development, construction, O&M, or M&A)
• Experience supporting projects through financial close with lenders or investors
• Strong understanding of project delivery, contracts and risk management
• Degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, construction management, or related field
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
