The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in Normanton. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers to join the team on an ongoing basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidates.

Pay Rates

HGV Class 2 Nights

• £16.16 per hour

HGV Class 1 Nights

• £17.80 per hour
• Increasing to £18.55 per hour after 12 weeks

Shift Pattern

Nights Class 1 & Class 2

• Shifts available across Monday to Sunday
• Typically 23:59 starts

The Role

As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of palletised parcels between delivery units and couriers.

Your duties will include:

• Safely transporting palletised parcels
• Completing regular runs between delivery units and couriers
• Collecting and delivering goods between sites
• Loading and unloading the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck where required
• Completing and maintaining accurate paperwork
• Working safely and efficiently at all times
• Representing the company professionally when dealing with customers and delivery teams

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with the relevant Class 1 / Category C+E or Class 2 / Category C entitlement
• Minimum 6 months' experience on your HGV licence
• Valid DCPC/CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 points on your licence (minor offences only)
• Good understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation
• Willingness to complete a short driving assessment
• Excellent communication skills
• A professional and safety-conscious approach to driving
