Senior Credit Controller

ROLE SUMMARY:

The UK and Northern Europe Collections team oversees customer accounts and collections activity across 15 schools. We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Control professional to join this collaborative and high-performing team in central London, reporting directly to the Head of AR & Billing. This position is primarily office-based, with four days per week in the London office (Mayfair).

The ideal candidate will bring at least seven years of experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable, with expertise in B2C collections. Experience within the education sector or a comparable service-led industry would be beneficial.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Owning the debtors ledger for several schools, driving collection of invoices professionally, articulately & tactfully with parents across a high volume of accounts
• Working with parents and schools on a high volume of billing queries across all sites
• Acting as senior team member, supporting the team with the more complex billing queries across all sites and setting the example in terms of application and perseverance
• Work with the team and assist the head of AR to foster and promote strong and collaborative relationships with all schools through regular calls and site visits
• Complete regular dunning runs across all schools
• Work with the banking team across all sites to ensure proper allocation of cash receipts, and resolve issues on historic unallocated or miss allocated receipts
• Assist with reporting at various levels
• Work with the team on process improvements and suggest ideas to improve ways of working

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Strong experience in Credit Control/Accounts Receivable
• Be highly resilient and dynamic, with an ability to see the big picture in a developing environment
• An understanding of accounting principles
• Able to demonstrate the ability to build and sustain long term repour with sites
• Experience using a ticketing system for managing queries
• Au fait with managing conflicting priorities and balancing workload whilst supporting others in a team.
