We're recruiting a Sous Chef to join an established and highly regarded 4 star hotel in Aylesbury.

Key responsibilities

As Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and leading from the front. Your duties will include:

Supporting the Head Chef with the smooth operation of all kitchen services

Maintaining high standards across food quality, presentation, and consistency

Overseeing food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards

Managing stock control, ordering, and minimising waste

Training, mentoring, and developing junior team members

Taking full responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence

What we're looking for

This role would suit an experienced Sous Chef or a Junior Sous looking for their first Sous Chef role, who thrives in a quality-focused environment.

We're looking for someone who:

Has strong leadership skills and a calm, organised approach

Is passionate about producing high-quality food with attention to detail

Can motivate and inspire a team to perform at their best
