Freelance Site Manager – Reservoir Upgrade Project

Location: Chesterfield

Contract: Freelance, circa 6 months

Start Date: ASAP

Working Hours: 3:00pm – 1:00am (Night Shift)

We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a live reservoir upgrade project, overseeing a range of improvement works including access road alterations and associated site upgrades.

This is an immediate-start opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who is confident working independently and managing night-shift construction activities safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day-to-day site activities and subcontractors.
• Oversee reservoir upgrade works and modifications to the site access road.
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress and ensure programme

requirements are met.

• Carry out site inspections and ensure all works comply with RAMS and project

requirements.

• Manage and monitor temporary works on site.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and documentation.
• Liaise with the project management team, subcontractors and other site personnel.
• Ensure a strong focus on health, safety and environmental

requirements throughout the works.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within a relevant construction/civil engineering environment.
• Previous experience working on reservoir, infrastructure, civils, highways or similar projects would be highly beneficial.
• Previous experience with shuttering joinery, reinforced concrete and rebar essential.
• SMSTS – essential.
• Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) qualification/experience – essential.
• Relevant CSCS card – essential
• Strong understanding of health & safety, RAMS and site procedures.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and site activities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Previous experience working night shifts is desirable.
