SEND Teacher

Bright Futures Recruitment is working with a specialist SEND setting in Basildon that is looking to appoint a permanent SEND Teacher to join their team from January 2027, with an earlier start available for the right person.

This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with young people who need a more individual approach to education and wants to become part of a specialist setting on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons while creating a calm, structured and positive learning environment. You’ll work closely with support staff and other professionals to help pupils make progress both academically and personally.

We’d love to hear from teachers who:

Hold QTS/QTLS or have relevant teaching experience

Have experience within SEND, SEN, SEMH or Alternative Provision

Can adapt lessons to different abilities and learning needs

Have strong behaviour and classroom management skills

Are patient, resilient and able to build genuine relationships with young people

Want to work somewhere they can really make a difference

Experience within a specialist setting would be an advantage, but we’re also keen to speak with mainstream teachers who are looking to move into SEND and have the right approach and personality.
