Commercial Sales Manager

Circa £65k, plus bonus, car and benefits

The Role

• Develop and execute a commercial strategy focused on sustainable, profitable growth
• Build and manage strong relationships with key accounts
• Develop and grow an internal and external sales team, with a particular focus on the UK defence market
• Identify and penetrate new industrial sectors
• Work closely with design, engineering and production to align the offering with market needs
• Oversee pricing strategy, contract negotiation and margin optimisation
• Represent the business at trade shows and industry events
• Report to the Managing Director on commercial performance and strategic progress

The Candidate

• A minimum of five years in senior sales management within the forging or metalforming industries.
• A proven track record of opening and growing new market sectors, ideally in defence and aerospace
• Experience of developing and making the most of CRM systems
• A strong B2B sales background, with excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• A degree or professional qualification in engineering or business is desirable, though a strong track record will be considered in its place
