Lead Designer

We are looking for a lead designer to own how our work looks, across the products we build for ourselves and the ones we build for clients.

You make the identity, the pages it launches on, and the marketing that carries it. That is rare in a design job: no brand guidelines handed down, no committee between the idea and the thing going live. You decide what it looks like, and it ships.

It is design and marketing together. Roughly half the work is making things look right, the other half is writing and running the content, email and social that put them in front of people, so you see the whole arc from a blank page to an audience.

You work directly with the director, on hours arranged between you.

What you do

• Design across client projects and our own products: visual identity, landing pages and marketing assets
• Marketing for both: content, social, email and newsletters, website copy and SEO support
• Brand assets for Perius itself, and the document templates that carry them: proposals, invoices, statements of work
• Research and analysis to back up the design and marketing decisions

About you

• You have graphic design experience with brand systems, not just individual artefacts
• You are comfortable designing for the web, and know enough about how sites get built to hand work over cleanly
• You are willing to write, since a good share of this is words before it is pictures
• You have the judgement to work without art direction, because there is nobody else to give it
