We're recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop in Nottingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HGV Technician looking for a stable permanent position with a structured shift pattern, additional shift premium, overtime opportunities and access to ongoing technical training.

Shift Pattern

Day Shift

• Monday–Friday: 06:00–15:30

Afters Shift

• Monday–Thursday: 14:00–00:00
• Friday: 14:30–22:00
• Every other Saturday: 07:00–13:00

The rotating Afters shift attracts a 15% late-shift premium, which is already included in the advertised annual salary.

The Role

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HGVs to a high standard, ensuring vehicles remain safe, reliable and operational.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, preventative maintenance and HGV inspections
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and completing mechanical and electrical checks
• Diagnosing and rectifying vehicle faults using effective fault-finding techniques
• Completing repairs to a high standard while ensuring vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently
• Completing relevant inspection and maintenance paperwork
• Working as part of a professional workshop team and maintaining a clean, safe working environment

About You

We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician who has:

• Level 3 HGV or Level 3 LCV qualification
• Previous commercial vehicle experience with good mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with excellent attention to detail
• A reliable, professional approach and pride in workmanship
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and flexibility to work the rotating shift pattern

Previous experience as an HGV Technician within a commercial vehicle workshop or fleet environment would be advantageous.
