This is a great opportunity to take on a hands-on HGV Technician Supervisor / HGV Workshop Supervisor / HGV Workshop Foreman role, combining your technical experience with responsibility for supporting and overseeing the workshop team.

The Role of the HGV Technician Supervisor / HGV Workshop Supervisor / HGV Workshop Foreman

Working as part of a busy commercial vehicle operation, you will remain hands-on with HGV maintenance and repairs while helping to supervise the day-to-day running of the workshop.

You will:

Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on HGVs.

Support and oversee a team of HGV Technicians.

Allocate work and help ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Diagnose and assist with complex mechanical and electrical faults.

Ensure vehicles are maintained safely and in line with required standards.

Monitor workshop productivity and vehicle downtime.

Provide technical support and guidance to the wider team.

Liaise with management regarding repairs, parts, vehicle requirements and workshop issues.

Complete relevant paperwork and maintenance records.

Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping.What the ideal HGV Technician Supervisor / HGV Workshop Supervisor / HGV Workshop Foreman would need

Previous experience working as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician.

Strong mechanical and diagnostic experience.

Previous supervisory or team-lead experience would be advantageous.

Good knowledge of HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs.

Able to confidently diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent is preferred.

A reliable, organised and hands-on approach.

Full UK driving licence.The big attraction
