HGV Technician

We are seeking a fully qualified HGV Technician to join our client's reputable service department in Cardiff. This HGV Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled individuals to develop their career within a leading franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership. The successful HGV Technician will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining operational efficiency. This will be a fixed shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, working from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Competitive hourly rate starting at £20 per hour, increasing to £20.60 after successful probation

Perform all scheduled service maintenance and repairs to a high standard, within manufacturer time guidelines

Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and resolve complex malfunctions

Support team members with technical issues and share expertise to support workshop activities

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Document findings and actions taken during diagnostics and repairs

Uphold professionalism in all customer interactions, enhancing customer retention and dealership reputationRequirements of a HGV Technician:

Live within Cardiff or a reasonable commuting distance

Hold NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent as a minimum in HGV maintenance and repair

Practical experience post-qualification is preferred

Ability to produce quality workmanship in a fast-paced workshop environment

Strong team player with a motivated, committed attitude
