Tool Repair & Warehouse Technician

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Target Staff is looking for a practical, hands-on individual to join our clients team as a Tool Repair & Warehouse Technician.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a varied role combining the repair, servicing and calibration of professional crimping and cutting tools with general warehouse support duties.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in their work and is keen to learn new skills.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience repairing tools would be beneficial, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">What is most important is a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Tool Repair, Servicing & Calibration</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Inspect, diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical and battery-operated crimping and cutting tools.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Identify faults and determine appropriate repair solutions.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Calibrate tools and equipment in accordance with company procedures.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Issue and maintain calibration certificates and records.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure all repaired and calibrated equipment is fully tested and fit for purpose before return to customers or the hire fleet.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain workshop equipment and calibration equipment to required standards.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hire Fleet Management</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Manage the booking-in and booking-out of hire equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Inspect returned hire tools and identify any damage, faults or missing parts.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Prepare hire tools for future use through servicing, repair and calibration.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain accurate records of fleet availability, condition and service history.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure hire equipment is ready for customer use at all times.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Stock & Spare Parts Management</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monitor stock levels of spare parts, consumables and service-related equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist with ordering spare parts and consumables as required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain accurate stock records.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Store parts and equipment in an organised manner.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Liaise with suppliers regarding parts availability and deliveries when required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Warehouse Support</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist with goods-in and goods-out activities.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Receive deliveries and check products against delivery documentation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Support stock counts and stock control activities.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Prepare goods for dispatch.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist with general warehouse housekeeping and organisation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Support colleagues during busy periods to ensure customer orders are processed efficiently.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Operate warehouse equipment and systems following training.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Administration & Record Keeping</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, calibration and stock movements.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Update service records and customer documentation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure tools are correctly identified, labelled and tracked throughout the repair process.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Communicate repair status and completion information to colleagues and customers as required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">General Responsibilities</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A hands-on approach and enjoyment of working with tools and equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Basic computer skills and confidence using business systems.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or battery-operated equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience working in a workshop, engineering, manufacturing or maintenance environment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience within a warehouse or stock control environment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Knowledge of calibration processes.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Forklift truck licence.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Full UK driving licence.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Please note: Previous experience repairing crimping or cutting tools is not essential. Full product and technical training will be provided. We are primarily looking for someone with the right attitude, practical ability and desire to learn.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To support the efficient operation of both the tool repair and calibration facility and the warehouse operation, ensuring customer equipment is repaired, serviced and calibrated to a high standard whilst maintaining excellent service levels, accurate records and efficient warehouse support.</p>
