<p class="text-muted mb-3">Right Now Group are recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join an established transport and logistics business operating within the freight and air cargo sector.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a permanent position working predominantly with Freight Forwarding customers, completing collections and deliveries from shippers across the local and regional area.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You will spend the majority of your time driving a Class 1 articulated vehicle, completing multiple collections and deliveries depending on the</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">requirements of the day. Routes will vary, with the furthest regular journeys generally being Birmingham and back.</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The role will predominantly involve general freight, alongside a small amount of Dangerous Goods.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is also a hands-on driving position, and you will occasionally be required to move freight using a pump truck, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable getting involved when required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Although the position is predominantly Class 1 driving, flexibility is important and there may occasionally be a requirement to drive a Luton van to support the wider transport operation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete daily collections and deliveries for Freight Forwarding customers</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Drive a Class 1 articulated vehicle as the primary vehicle</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Collect freight directly from shippers and deliver into freight and logistics facilities</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete multiple collections and deliveries throughout the working day</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carry out local and regional routes depending on daily customer</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete longer-distance runs when required, typically no further than Birmingham and back</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Safely load, secure and transport freight</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist with loading and unloading where required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Use a pump truck to move freight when necessary</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Handle predominantly general freight alongside a small amount of Dangerous Goods</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Occasionally drive a Luton van to support the wider operation</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Check collection and delivery documentation for accuracy</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Obtain signatures and Proof of Delivery documentation</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Communicate with the Transport team regarding collections, deliveries, delays and changes to planned routes</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Liaise professionally with shippers, Freight Forwarders and customers</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure freight remains safe and secure throughout transportation</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, security and professionalism</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Skills & Experience Required for an HGV Class 1 Driver</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Minimum 1 year's professional HGV driving experience</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Valid Class 1 / Category C+E Driving Licence</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Valid Driver CPC</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Valid Digital Tachograph Card</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maximum of 3 points on driving licence</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience within Freight, Transport, Air Cargo or Logistics advantageous</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Comfortable completing multiple collections and deliveries</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Confident completing local and regional routes, including journeys up to Birmingham and back</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Physically fit and comfortable with the hands-on elements of the position</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Comfortable using a pump truck to move freight when required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Willing to occasionally drive a Luton van to support the operation</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good understanding of drivers' hours and road transport regulations</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Dangerous Goods experience advantageous but not essentialAs the business operates as a CAA Regulated Agent, successful candidates must be able to complete the required security screening, including a clean DBS check and five-year checkable employment history/references.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Salary & Benefits for an HGV Class 1 Driver</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">£45,000 - £47,000 depending on experience</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monday to Friday</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Standard working hours of 08:00 - 18:00</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">10-hour shifts</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Flexibility required around start times depending on booked collections and deliveries</p>
