Transport Planner

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Role Responsibilities </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Check resource availability for the shift by reviewing the manning levels on a daily basis</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Confirm driver start times for next day, updating the system accordingly </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Manage drivers hours in relation to customer</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monitor and report WTD issues and concerns to the Operations team</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure correct equipment is planned, the system is accurate, and trailer movements are tracked and controlled</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Review vehicle utilisation, highlighting inefficiencies to Line Management </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure effective control of drivers through on-going communication to ensure that performance is achieved</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure effective two-way communication between Operations and Customer Services functions to identify and act on any potential service or cost issues</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monitor and act on reports highlighting poor driving practices and inefficiencies, escalating where required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist with Despatch and Debrief as directed by on shift management</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist in investigation of late / failed deliveries to provide root cause information to Contract Manager</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Implement actions from the Central conference calls as directed by on shift management</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Update required reports / spreadsheets daily </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete end of shift checks as required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure that the Shift Handover process and communication is clear and controlled</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The shift pattern for this role is Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a temporary to permanent role, salary of £37,000 and an hourly rate of £17.74</p>
