HGV Technician

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Overtime paid at time and 1 half, day off on your birthday, manufacturer training, clear progression pathways, Enhanced Maternity and Paternity support, 4 times salary death-in-service cover, 24hr GP access.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">£19.50 per hour, overtime paid at time and 1 half.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Alternate weeks Mon-Fri 06.00 - 14.00/Mon-Fri 14.00 - 22.00 including a paid 30-minute break. Every other Saturday paid at the applicable rate. Additional overtime and call-out available.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">As a HGV Technician, your primary responsibility will be ensuring customers' vehicles remain safe, compliant, and operational through high-quality maintenance and repair work. The successful HGV Technician will benefit from specialist BPW and LOLER training, alongside health and safety e-learning programmes designed to enhance technical knowledge and professional growth.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Duties and responsibilities: -</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carrying out major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and commercial fleet equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Completing routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance activities, including tyre replacement and oil changes.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintaining workshop stock levels and ensuring a clean, safe working environment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assisting with fault diagnosis and planning effective repair solutions.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Keeping accurate maintenance and service records.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Providing roadside breakdown assistance when required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Completing documentation, warranty submissions, and associated administration accurately and efficiently.We are very keen to hear from HGV Technicians who have the following: -</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience within commercial vehicle maintenance or repair.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ability to identify worn, damaged, or defective components in line with DVSA standards.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Full UK driving licence relevant to vehicle classes operated.</p>
