Transport Coordinator

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Are you an experienced transport professional who understands the day-to-day demands of a busy transport operation?</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Our client is looking for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join its team at its Hull Head Office.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a hands-on operational support role working closely with the Transport Manager, drivers and wider transport team, with responsibility for driver administration, fleet maintenance coordination, transport compliance and planning support.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience working within a transport or fleet operation is essential.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">What you'll be doing</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Your responsibilities will include:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintaining regular day-to-day communication with drivers and responding to operational queries.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Recording driver hours and maintaining accurate driver records.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carrying out and recording driver licence checks.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Completing regular tachograph downloads and maintaining associated records.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Supporting the monitoring of drivers' hours and tachograph</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Arranging vehicle PMI inspections, servicing and other routine maintenance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Coordinating vehicle breakdowns, including liaising with drivers and repair or recovery providers.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintaining vehicle maintenance and compliance records.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Supporting the Transport Manager with driver recruitment and associated administration.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assisting with day-to-day transport planning.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience in a transport, fleet or similar operational administration role is essential.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You'll also need:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Confidence communicating with drivers, colleagues and external providers.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of accurate transport records.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Confidence using computer-based systems and maintaining electronic records.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ability to remain calm and practical when priorities change or unexpected operational issues arise.Experience of tachograph administration, drivers' hours, vehicle maintenance scheduling, driver licence checks or wider transport compliance would be particularly useful.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A Transport Manager CPC qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hours</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm, with one Saturday in every three from 8.00am to 12.00pm.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Some flexibility will be required to meet the operational needs of the business.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Salary</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">£30,000–£32,000 per annum, depending on experience.</p>
