<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are currently recruiting for two experienced HGV Technicians, HGV Mechanics or Plant Mechanics to join a growing engineering team at Gatwick Airport.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic looking to develop their career within the specialist world of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous GSE experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Candidates with experience working on HGVs, commercial vehicles, plant, heavy vehicles or similar equipment are encouraged to apply.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Two Positions</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Position 1 – Monday to Friday</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">£49,000 – £50,000 per annum</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">45 hours per week</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monday to Friday with flexibility around working hours.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This position is ideal for a technician looking for a traditional Monday-to-Friday working pattern while gaining specialist experience working on airport Ground Support Equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Position 2 – 4 On / 4 Off</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Salary: £51,547 Basic</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">4 days on / 4 days off</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This position is ideal for a technician who prefers a structured shift pattern and an excellent work-life balance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Both positions are permanent, full-time roles based at Gatwick Airport.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Plant Mechanic -The Role</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">As an HGV / GSE / Plant Technician,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of a wide range of specialist Ground Support Equipment used airside at Gatwick Airport.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You will use your existing mechanical knowledge to diagnose faults, carry out repairs and complete preventative maintenance to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable and operational.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Equipment may include:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Aircraft towing tractors and tugs</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Baggage handling equipment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Baggage elevators</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Specialist airport vehicles</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ground Support Equipment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Other heavy and specialist vehicles</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Service, maintain and repair Ground Support Equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete planned and preventative maintenance (PPM).</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete maintenance records and paperwork accurately.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standards.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain equipment reliability and minimise downtime.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Liaise with internal customers and colleagues.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Comply with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Provide a professional and high-quality engineering service.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist with general maintenance and repair duties as required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are looking for experienced technicians from a mechanical background.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You must have experience in at least one of the following:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">HGV</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Plant</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">GSE / Ground Support Equipment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Commercial vehicles</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Heavy vehicles</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Agricultural or specialist equipment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Suitable job backgrounds include:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, GSE Technician, Heavy Vehicle Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Agricultural Technician or Vehicle Mechanic.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You should have:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong mechanical maintenance and repair experience.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A practical, hands-on approach.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience working on heavy vehicles, plant or similar equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ability to work safely and professionally.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good attention to detail.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">GSE experience is desirable but not essential. Full GSE training will be provided for the right candidate.</p>
