<p class="text-muted mb-3">HG Recruitment are looking for a Transport Clerk to join our client’s busy logistics operation in Sherburn in Elmet. The role involves general transport office duties, including data entry, driver debriefs, and providing administrative support to the transport management team. We’re seeking organised and proactive individuals with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ideally some experience within a transport or logistics environment. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Reporting to the Transport Team Managers </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete pre-brief and dispatching drivers to adhere to the planning schedule. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">De-brief process with the drivers at the end of their shift </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To ensure all relevant information is gathered on time, accurately and in the correct format </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To assist in an effective and efficient transport administration service </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To undertake general duties that support the Transport Team Managers, i.e. answering the phone, issuing vehicle keys, allocating work, up-dating Microlise. Also, the use of the customers integrated C3 yard management system. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Check daily delivery documents to ensure correct store delivery and highlight issues as appropriate. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist in investigations and disciplinary meetings as a note taker. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Focus on delivering and demonstrating sound planning and control skills to achieve targets as well as working with colleagues to achieve continuous improvement. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete data entry, monitor vehicle movements via the automatic process of the site computer vehicle management system. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Produce weekly reports for line management team in connection to the vehicle management system escalating and issues to line management. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Manually process amendments to manage the system and ease vehicle movements. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function and department. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">What will you bring? </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience of working within a transport environment an advantage. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Knowledge of computerised scheduling packages would be an advantage </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ability to work on your own initiative, working to strict deadlines </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A good communicator both verbal and written </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Excellent PC skills </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Must be adaptable to assist in all areas with a flexible team based approach </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To be responsible for the health and safety of themselves and other colleagues by adhering to safe working practices </p>
