Class 1 Driver

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Preston. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Shifts: Monday to Friday</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hours : 09:00am</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Pay Rate: £18.35 per hour PAYE with overtime at £27.53 after 40 hours</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Location: Preston, PR2</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Job Type: Ongoing</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The role:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Mainly collections with some deliveries (6- 10 collections and 1-5 deliveries)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">. Manual handling required as drivers will assist with loading and unloading parcels at depots and customers locations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely Collections / deliveries.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">.Operating devices and company software to update delivery status and to communicate with the depot.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Requirements</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Have at least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle (if less than 12 months, assessment will be required)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Full understanding of WTD legislation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· Excellent communication skills.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">· A safety-first mindset.</p>
