HGV Technician

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Are you an experienced HGV Technician who enjoys solving faults, working on a variety of jobs and seeing a vehicle leave the workshop ready for the road? We're looking for a skilled technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Dunstable.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You'll be trusted to diagnose, service and repair customer vehicles to a high standard. It's a hands-on role where your technical ability, attention to detail and approach to safety will make a real difference every day.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">What you'll be doing</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on HGVs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and scheduled safety inspections.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Using diagnostic equipment to identify issues and determine the repairs needed.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Reporting any additional work identified during inspections.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working with the Shift Supervisor to plan and complete your daily workload.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Completing job cards clearly and accurately.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Taking part in a call-out and breakdown rota if required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">What we're looking for</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification in HGV maintenance and repair.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong mechanical and electrical repair experience.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Confidence with fault finding and diagnostic equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A good understanding of workshop health and safety.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A clean driving licence; an HGV licence would be an advantage.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You'll work 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday, across early and late shifts:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Early: 6:00am4:00pm, finishing at 3:00pm on Friday.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Late: 12:00pm10:00pm, finishing at 9:00pm on Friday.</p>
