Hgv Class 2 Driver

I am pleased to be representing a leading Engineering company, that is seeking a dependable and experienced Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our organisation,

you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of essential equipment for various projects while representing the company in all interactions.

You will work 10-hour shifts, between the hours of 4am and 7pm, with your regular hours being 6am and 4pm, flexibility around these times is essential. You may also be required to stay overnight, with a fixed payment of £40 per stay away.

This is a Monday to Friday position, with weekends off.

Role of Class 2 Driver

• Deliver and collect products in a professional, efficient, and effective manner.
• Liaise with the Transport Manager to ensure a customer-first approach is taken at all times.
• Communicate with the office and customers to maintain or exceed on-time delivery.
• Adhere to all legislation, including Tachograph and DSA driving standards.
• Maintain a positive image of the brand to our customers.
• Ensure your vehicle is well-maintained and compliant with all necessary requirements.

The Person

• Compliant with CPC and Digital Tacho
• Class 2 Licence and experience (min. 2 years)
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Can-do, problem-solving attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and take on additional tasks as needed
• Positive and high-performing mindset
