Role Details

Shift Pattern: 6am - 2pm AND 2pm - 10pm ROTATING, 5 days out of 7. You MUST be able to work both of these shifts.

Hourly Rate: £12.71

Position Type: Automated order picking role

Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative:

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in the seamless operation of our warehouse. Your key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Accurately picking, packing, and labeling items for distribution using automated systems.

Inspecting warehouse equipment, such as cages & totes, for safety standards before distribution back into the warehouse.

Processing returns accurately using Warehouse Management Systems.

Ensuring all orders are prepared and packaged in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines.

Conducting regular stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods, adhering to safety protocols.

Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse during your shift.

Reporting any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns promptly to the team leader or supervisor.

Collaborating with the team to meet productivity and efficiency targets.

Qualifications of a Warehouse Operative:

Previous experience in a warehouse environment, with proficiency in picking and packing operations.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Effective communication and team collaboration skills.

Physical fitness, with the ability to lift and move items as required (in line with safety guidelines).

Basic numeracy and literacy skills to manage documentation and inventory control.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and a positive attitude towards challenges.
