<p class="text-muted mb-3">An exciting opportunity to join a growing business with an excellent reputation in the market, as Head of Transport, taking ownership of a busy transport operation and playing a key role in its continued growth.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">With a fleet of approximately 60 trucks,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">this is an opportunity for an experienced transport professional to lead from the front, develop the team and drive improvements across fleet performance, service delivery, compliance and operational efficiency.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Role</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running and performance of the transport operation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Lead, develop and motivate transport managers, planners, drivers and support teams.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, operator licensing, drivers' hours, tachographs and vehicle maintenance</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monitor KPIs, service levels and customer satisfaction, taking ownership of operational challenges and resolving issues effectively.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Work closely with senior leadership and other departments to support business growth and continuous improvement.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring a culture of accountability and operational excellence.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Proven experience in a senior transport management role, ideally within a sizeable fleet operation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A valid Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is essential.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation, operator licensing and fleet compliance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience leading transport teams and managing a fleet of significant scale.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Commercially aware, with a track record of improving operational performance and controlling costs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A hands-on, proactive leader who can balance strategic planning with the demands of a fast-paced transport operation.</p>
