Meridian Business Support is recruiting Warehouse Operatives  to join a busy and well-established online furniture retailer based near Tarporley, Cheshire.

We're looking for hardworking individuals to join a friendly warehouse and yard team, helping to ensure furniture orders are picked, packed, loaded and dispatched efficiently.

You'll be working with a variety of furniture products, supporting deliveries for major online retailers and delivery partners, as well as helping to process returned items and prepare them for resale.

With Monday-to-Friday working, weekly pay and the opportunity to secure a permanent position, this is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for their next warehouse role.

Day shifts, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Varied duties — no two days need to be the same.

Opportunity to gain further experience in warehouse operations, dispatch and stock handling.What Will You Be Doing?As a Warehouse Operative, you'll help keep the warehouse running smoothly by carrying out a range of practical duties, including:

Unloading 40ft shipping containers full of furniture and moving stock into the warehouse.

Picking furniture orders accurately and preparing them for dispatch.

Loading furniture onto 3.5-tonne vans and securing items ready for delivery.

Preparing orders for Amazon Prime, DPD and other third-party delivery partners.

Labelling furniture and ensuring items are ready for collection and delivery.

Moving stock, organising warehouse space and carrying out general housekeeping duties.

Unloading vehicles returning from delivery runs.

Sorting and checking returned furniture.

Carrying out light repairs to returned stock where required.

Preparing suitable items for resale on eBay.

Working alongside the warehouse and yard team to ensure orders are processed efficiently and safely.We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative, Warehouse Assistant, Yard Operative or in a similar hands-on role.

A good understanding of warehouse activities, including picking, dispatch and returns.

A valid driving licence.

The ability to carry out regular heavy lifting and manual handling.

A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.

Good attention to detail when picking, checking and labelling stock.

The ability to work well as part of a team in a busy warehouse environment.
