Rapier Employment seeks a 7.5 Tonne Driver in Ipswich on a full-time, ongoing temp-to-perm basis. The role pays £15.31 per hour, with weekly wages and immediate starts. Working Sunday to Thursday from 06:00, the successful candidate will operate a modern vehicle as part of a two-person delivery crew, ensuring goods reach customers safely and on schedule. Applicants must hold a valid category C1 licence, demonstrate strong timekeeping, and possess solid knowledge of South East routes. The Role

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver you will work alongside a Driver's Mate to complete multi-drop home deliveries. Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing multi-drop home deliveries to customers' homes
• Delivering heavy goods and household appliances
• Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting as part of a two-person team
• Planning delivery routes and completing deliveries efficiently
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
• Maintaining accurate Digital Tachograph records and delivery paperwork
• Providing professional and friendly customer service at each delivery
• Following all road transport legislation and company procedures

Shift Pattern

You will be required to work one of the following shift patterns: Sunday to Thursday Tuesday to Saturday Start times are from 06:00. Overtime may also be available.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this 7.5 Tonne Driver position, you will need:

• A valid UK Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months driving experience
• A flexible approach to weekend working
• Ability to undertake manual handling and heavy lifting
• A reliable, professional and punctual attitude
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check Experience That Would Be Beneficial

Previous experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

• Multi-drop delivery
• Home delivery 7.5 Tonne
• Delivering large or bulky goods
• Furniture or household appliance delivery
• Customer-facing delivery roles

Training & Support

You will receive industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment , helping you settle into the role and understand the delivery operation.
