7.5 Tonne Driver - Guildford

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Guildford .

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, weekly pay, and immediate starts with a well-respected logistics operation.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a 7.5 Tonne Driver, Category C1 Driver, or Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £16.00 per hour basic
• £20.00 per hour overtime after 9 hours worked

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 start times

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a 7.5 Tonne Driver are:

• Completing RDC, brewery or parcel deliveries
• Operating and driving 7.5 Tonne vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations at all times
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required
• Completing between 10 and 15 drops per day with the support of a driver's mate
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a 7.5 Tonne Driver , you will need:

• A valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence
• A minimum of 12 months' experience driving C1 vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A good standard xwwtmva of spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills
• A good understanding of road traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills
• A professional and customer-focused approach

Training:

• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
