7.5t Delivery Driver

Looking for a driving role with early finishes, no weekends and a great work-life balance? We are recruiting for a reliable, friendly and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Nottingham (NG9). You'll be responsible for delivering steel, sheet metal, tube and fabricated components to customers, ensuring deliveries arrive safely and on time. There's no loading or unloading involved in this position! You'll simply be responsible for transporting the goods and providing a friendly, professional service to customers. ---------------------------------------------------------- Working Hours & Benefits: £15.00 per hour Monday to Friday – NO weekends! 6:00am starts, usually finishing around 2:00pm–2:30pm. Earlier finishes available; finish once your deliveries are complete Occasional overtime may be required, which will be paid. 25 days annual leave PLUS Bank Holidays. Immediate start available. ---------------------------------------------------------- What You'll Be Doing: Carrying out daily deliveries and occasional collections to customers and suppliers. Transporting steel, sheet metal, tube and fabricated components. Ensuring loads are safely secured before setting off. Completing delivery paperwork and Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues. Keeping in regular contact with the Transport and Despatch teams. Providing excellent customer service and representing the business professionally. Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy and well maintained. ---------------------------------------------------------- What We're Looking For: Previous experience driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle. Valid UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement. Valid Driver CPC qualification. Valid Digital Tachograph Card. Good understanding of road safety and securing loads. A professional, positive and dependable attitude. Confidence dealing with customers face-to-face. It would be a bonus if you have: Experience transporting sheet metal, steel, tube or fabricated components. Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Good knowledge of Nottingham, the East Midlands and surrounding areas. Experience loading and unloading vehicles, although this is NOT required for the role.
