Mechanical Fitter / Plumber – Factory & Property Maintenance

Guardian Doors, is a part of the Grady Window Manufacturers Group, founded in 1979, and have grown from a small family run business into a market leader in the door and window manufacturing industry across Ireland and the UK.We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter or Plumber to support the maintenance of our factory equipment, facilities and company-managed properties.

A domestic plumber with good fault-finding skills and an interest in working with industrial equipment could be an excellent fit for this role.

The work is varied, covering plumbing, water treatment equipment, pneumatic systems and general mechanical maintenance across our manufacturing facilities, alongside maintenance and repairs at properties managed by the company.

The role includes:

• Maintaining and repairing pipework, pumps, valves and water treatment equipment.
• Identifying and repairing leaks and faults in compressed-air and pneumatic systems.
• Carrying out planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
• Undertaking plumbing and general maintenance across factory facilities and company-managed properties.
• Assisting with equipment installations and improvements.
• Working safely and keeping clear records of maintenance updates.

We’re looking for someone with:

• A background in mechanical fitting or plumbing, with solid practical experience.
• A methodical approach to finding faults and solving problems.
• The ability to work independently and coordinate with our factory team and external contractors.
• A flexible approach and willingness to learn.
• Pride in completing work properly and reliably.

Experience with pneumatics or water treatment equipment would be an advantage, but we also welcome applications from domestic plumbers keen to broaden their skills.
