We are seeking a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist secondary school in Hertfordshire, supporting pupils aged 11-16 with social, emotional and mental health SEMH needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve their potential.

The Role

Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.

Support emotional regulation, positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

Assist teachers in delivering accessible lessons and adapting learning resources.

Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, resilience and independence.

Work collaboratively with staff to support pupils' academic and personal development.The Ideal Candidate

Patient, empathetic and resilient.

Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.

Confident in managing challenging situations calmly and positively.

An effective communicator and team player.

Experienced in SEN, SEMH or behavioural support, or keen to develop their skills.Experience in a specialist school or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
