Financial Controller

This is a pivotal role offering significant visibility across the business, ownership of financial control activities, and the opportunity to develop and mentor a talented finance team position would suit an established Financial Controller or an ambitious Finance Manager ready to take the next step into a broader leadership role. Your New Role Reporting into senior leadership, you'll take responsibility for leading a small finance team whilst driving operational excellence across the finance function. You'll play a key role in supporting business growth, improving financial processes and providing meaningful insight to help shape strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities will include: Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing finance team. Driving improvements across financial controls, reporting and processes. Managing month-end and year-end activities. Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning. Providing financial analysis and insight to senior stakeholders. Overseeing revenue recognition and financial reporting activities. Working closely with operational leaders to improve performance and support growth initiatives. Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency through process improvement and automation. What You'll Need to Succeed We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional with strong leadership skills and the ability to bring people with them'll ideally have: Previous Financial Controller experience. ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification Strong financial reporting and financial control experience. Proven people management and team development skills. Experience within a project-based, technology, software, professional services or similar environment would be advantageous. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused approach. Most importantly, you'll enjoy developing people, improving performance and building strong relationships across a business. What You'll Get in Return Salary of £65,000 - £75,000. Flexible hybrid working. You'll be in office 2-3 days a week. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Private healthcare support.
