Internal Sales & Account Manager

Location: Wimborne, Dorset (Fully Office-Based)

Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (No weekends)

Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing, specialist UK distributor and installer of commercial compliance and safety solutions based in Dorset.

Due to ongoing expansion, they are seeking an enthusiastic Internal Sales & Account Manager to join their close-knit, supportive team.

First and foremost a commercial sales role, this position focuses on building relationships with existing B2B accounts, handling inbound orders, and proactively following up on quotes and new business enquiries. The approach is consultative rather than high-pressure taking the time to understand customer requirements and recommending the right solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Account Development: Build and maintain strong ongoing relationships with key corporate clients and decision-makers.
• Opportunity Conversion: Handle inbound sales enquiries, prepare detailed quotations, and proactively follow up outstanding opportunities through to completion.
• Outbound B2B Engagement: Conduct targeted outbound calls to prospective commercial clients to introduce services and expand account reach.
• Cross-Selling Services: Identify customer needs and offer complementary product ranges or installation services.
• Order & Supplier Coordination: Place supplier orders, liaise with installation subcontractors, and keep CRM customer records accurate and up to date.

Key Attributes & Experience:

• Customer-Focused Experience: Proven background in a telephone-based role, whether in B2B sales, account management, or high-level customer service.
• Proactive Mindset: Comfortable making outbound calls, building client relationships, and following up on opportunities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication with a warm, articulate, and clear phone manner.
• IT Literacy: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and confidence navigating CRM systems.
• Transferable Sectors: Backgrounds in customer service, retail administration, property management, care administration, or commercial service environments are welcome. (Full technical product training and client site visits provided).
• Location: Must live within a practical daily commute of the Wimborne / Poole surrounding area.
