Submit your application to discuss further and in confidence Essential Requirements: You should have a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance procedures for large vehicles, preferably PCVs, as well as knowledge of electrical engineering, bodywork construction and basic stores procedures. Ability to gain a Transport CPC. Ability to plan, prioritise, analyse and make decisions is also essential as well as an up-to-date understanding of Health & Safety legislation. Work any 5 days out of 7 on a shift basis. Duties Supervise and manage workshop to deliver results - service requirements, MOTs, general maintenance. Oversee all equipment use and repair/maintenance. Oversee parts inventory. Lead a health and safety culture. Manage and lead staff, ensuring the team is constantly learning and developing. Cover the work. Work with the wider support team to bring results on a technical or project basis. Paperwork compliance for servicing, legislation, group standards. Qualifications Proven experience in a heavy vehicle workshop, knowledge and hands on ability to be able to demonstrate, coach and deliver. Able to lead from the front with a team of technicians/ mechanics. Health and Safety focused. A great communicator At least a qualified mechanic, up to NVQ level 3.
