Salary: £35,000 – £37,000

Contract: Full-time Permanent

The Opportunity

Are you experienced in employer engagement, business development or employer liaison and passionate about helping people access employment opportunities?

We’re looking for an Employer Liaison Officer to support employer relationships and help create opportunities that connect individuals with local businesses. This role could suit someone with a background in employability, recruitment, account management or business development who enjoys building partnerships and delivering results.

The organisation focuses on creating employment opportunities and developing relationships with businesses to support successful employment outcomes.

The Role

• Build and develop relationships with local employers across West Yorkshire.
• Engage businesses to identify recruitment needs and potential employment opportunities.
• Support the generation of vacancies and job opportunities for individuals accessing employment support.
• Develop a strong understanding of local labour market conditions and employer

requirements.

• Work with internal teams to connect suitable candidates with employer opportunities.
• Maintain regular communication with employers and build long-term professional relationships.
• Identify opportunities to expand employer engagement and strengthen local business partnerships.
• Keep accurate records of employer activity, vacancy information and relationship development.
• Support employer engagement activity while contributing to wider employment and placement objectives.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in employer engagement, business development, recruitment, account management or employer liaison.
• Confident building relationships with employers and business stakeholders.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Commercially aware, with the ability to identify opportunities and understand employer needs.
• Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple employer relationships.
• Comfortable working towards targets and contributing to measurable outcomes.
• A team-focused approach and an interest in supporting people into employment.
• Experience within employability, welfare-to-work, skills, recruitment or workforce development would be beneficial.
