Senior QA & Technical Lead – IBM Planning Analytics & Cognos

Brussels | Hybrid - regular presence in the Brussels office is required

About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA & Technical Lead to join our F&A IT Solutions team. This is a dual role combining Quality Assurance & Testing with technical and architectural responsibilities.

You will work mainly with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Cognos Analytics and Cognos Controller , supporting systems used for financial planning, consolidation and reporting.

• Own the QA and testing approach for the Cognos environment.
• Lead UAT and regression testing and ensure financial data and reporting changes are properly validated.
• Define and improve testing standards and processes for the development team.
• Take ownership of the technical quality of releases .
• Maintain a strong understanding of the wider application architecture and data integrations.
• Provide technical back-up for the Architect & Technical Manager when required.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and act as a technical escalation point.
• Mentor junior developers and support the development team.
• Work closely with business, finance and IT stakeholders to ensure reliable delivery and stable system operation.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) .
• Strong experience with IBM Cognos Analytics .
• Experience with Cognos Controller is highly relevant.
• Solid background in QA and software testing , including UAT and regression testing .
• Good understanding of STLC and test automation .
• Experience working with financial systems , particularly financial reporting, planning or consolidation.
• Understanding of application architecture and data integration .
• Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect or in a similar senior technical role .
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to business and finance stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced team members.
