Business Manager

Do you want to combine sales, recruitment and leadership in the technology sector?

ALTEN Finland, part of the ALTEN Group (over 57,000 specialists worldwide), is now looking for a sales‑driven and goal‑oriented Business Manager for Helsinki. In this role, you will directly influence business growth and the career development of our consultants – supported by an experienced team and a personal coach. We value experience in sales and technical design, but above all we are looking for someone eager to learn and grow.

As a Business Manager, you will play a key role: building client relationships, recruiting top talent and leading your team towards success. Your responsibilities cover three main areas:

Sales

• Active acquisition of new clients and identification of business opportunities
• Development and maintenance of existing client relationships
• Contract negotiations and preparation of offers
• Planning and execution of the sales strategy, especially in electrical and mechanical design projects

Recruitment

• Full responsibility for the recruitment process: needs analysis, interviews and hiring
• Identifying and attracting specialists in electrical, mechanical and automation engineering to join ALTEN

Leadership

• Leading your team and supporting the professional development of consultants
• Onboarding, development discussions and coaching‑based leadership

What we expect from you

• University degree in a technical or commercial field
• Experience in sales or a strong commercial mindset
• Work experience or understanding of the design sector (mechanical, electrical, automation or other industrial design) – considered an advantage
• Experience or interest in the energy industry
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent spoken and written Finnish and English
• 1–5 years of experience in similar roles
