Material Handler

Holt Engineering is currently working with an established aerospace company that is looking for a Material Handler to join their team in Southend. 

As a Material Handler,

you will be responsible for moving, loading and unloading materials throughout the warehouse and storage facility, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. You will support the smooth running of operations by moving materials to and from storage areas, vehicles and production locations using appropriate handling equipment.

This a full time role working 8:00 - 16:00 Monday to Friday 

Paying £12.71 - £13ph 

Key Responsibilities for the Material Handler

Loading and unloading materials within the warehouse and storage facility.

Moving materials to and from aircraft, vehicles and designated storage areas.

Operating material handling equipment, including hand trucks, forklifts, hoists and conveyors, where trained and authorised.

Ensuring materials are handled, stored and transported safely and efficiently.

Following instructions, established procedures and workplace guidelines.

Supporting the warehouse team with day-to-day material handling duties.

Requirements for the Material Handler: 

Previous warehouse or material handling experience is Essential.

Familiarity with material handling equipment and warehouse procedures.

Ability to follow instructions and established processes accurately.

A reliable, organised approach with good attention to detail.

A strong commitment to health and safety.

A willingness to work under supervision and as part of a team
