Environmental Scientist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental Scientist to join our team, working on a diverse portfolio of environmental, planning, and waste management projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and solutions-focused professional with strong report-writing skills, a sound understanding of environmental regulation, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high technical standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of environmental and waste management projects for clients across a range of industries, providing technical expertise in areas such as environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, planning, and project management.

About the available position:

• Education: Honours degree in Environmental Science or other related environmental or scientific discipline.
• Experience: 3+ years

Key responsibilities & Duties:

• Waste Collection Permit applications
• Waste Facility Permit applications
• Environmental planning reports including Construction & Environmental Management Plans, Resource & Waste Management Plans, Environmental Impact Assessment Screening Reports
• Preparation of Closure, Restoration, and Aftercare Management Plans and Environmental Liabilities
• Preparation of templates for environmental reports
• Preparation of Article 27 notifications
• Assist clients with compliance items.
• Knowledge of the waste industry
• Experience preparing technical reports, regulatory submissions, or project documentation
• Level 8 degree in Science
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work effectively within a small team environment.
• Professional, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
• 3+ years experience in a consultancy role
• Experience in Life-Cycle Assessments and sustainability standards.
• Familiarity with ISO quality systems, document control procedures, waste collection permits
