Elderly Care GP Specialist (55034) Louth, Republic of Ireland

Salary: EUR - EUR per annum

Our client is an Irish healthcare group providing nursing home, home care and disability services. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate General Practitioner to provide medical care across three of their nursing homes in Leinster (Louth + Dublin).

The Role -

As the GP lead, you will work closely with the nursing and care teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing care to medical card holders under the GMS contract (list available for transfer )
• Conducting medical assessments in line with HIQA standards
• Providing private care to non-medical card holders
• Supporting care planning, medication reviews and end-of-life care
• Contributing to service development, research and quality improvement initiatives
• Specialist Registration in General Practice with the Irish Medical Council
• Eligible for a GMS list
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience, including at least 1 year in Ireland
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine interest in geriatric care and improving outcomes for older people
