Purchase Ledger Supervisor – Glasgow Area Pertemps are delighted to be working with a client who is a leader in their field and has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger professional looking to develop their career. Salary: Up to mid-£30s | 35-hour working week | Flexible working | Free parking Based outside Glasgow, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the Purchase Ledger function, building strong supplier relationships and supporting a wider finance team. Key responsibilities include: Managing the day-to-day Purchase Ledger function Supervising and supporting Purchase Ledger Assistants Processing and reconciling supplier invoices and statements Preparing and managing payment runs Dealing with supplier queries, disputes and outstanding credit notes Monitoring the Purchase Ledger inbox and allocating workload Completing month-end reconciliations and aged creditor reports Producing VAT, supplier spend and other financial reports Working closely with internal departments and external suppliers Supporting the Finance Manager with cash flow and payment forecasting Identifying training and development opportunities within the team About you: Previous experience within Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable Strong understanding of AP processes Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Confident managing queries and building relationships with stakeholders Experience supervising or supporting a team would be highly desirable Good Excel and finance systems knowledge AAT or equivalent would be advantageous, but not essential This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger professional who is ready to take the next step, develop their career and have real ownership of the function.
