Job Description & Overview

Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is a specialist-led, referral-only hospital located in the heart of the New Forest, offering advanced veterinary care across a wide range of disciplines. Our multidisciplinary team includes specialists in Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Diagnostic Imaging. We also provide comprehensive rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy and hydrotherapy using an underwater treadmill, ensuring exceptional patient care from diagnosis through recovery.

Our surgery intern program is aimed at motivated veterinary surgeons, who will play a key role in the management, monitoring, and treatment of our patients. Our intern will rotate between Soft Tissue, Orthopaedic Surgery and the out of hours service, over a twelve-month period. A surgery internship is the first step towards specialist training.
