Yolk Recruitment is working with an established international manufacturer to recruit an experienced Injection Moulding Technician for its South Wales operation.

The business has a long history of manufacturing in South Wales, excellent staff retention and a strong long-term order book. Recent investment includes five new injection moulding machines, and

this is an opportunity to join an established technical team in a varied, hands-on role. You'll be responsible for setting, troubleshooting and optimising injection moulding processes, working across different machines to resolve production problems, improve quality and maintain reliable production.

What you'll be doing

Carrying out mould tool changes, machine setting and process adjustments.

Diagnosing and resolving injection moulding defects and production problems.

Optimising process parameters to improve quality, cycle times and reduce scrap.

Investigating issues with machinery, tooling and materials, working alongside Maintenance and Toolmaking colleagues where required.

Supporting mould trials, process improvements and the introduction of new tooling.

Sharing your technical knowledge with operators and less experienced setters.

What we're looking for

We're interested in speaking with experienced Injection Moulding Setters, Process Technicians or Process Engineers who have a strong practical understanding of injection moulding. You'll need:

Experience setting and troubleshooting injection moulding machines.

A good understanding of thermoplastic materials and moulding process parameters.

The ability to diagnose defects and identify whether problems relate to the machine, tooling, material or process.

Experience working across different machines, with the confidence to adapt your knowledge to unfamiliar equipment.

A practical, methodical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.Salary & benefits
